Vote for Change, Says Chris Nicholson

Chris Nicholson and the local Liberal Democrats are urging Streatham residents to vote Lib Dem this Thursday in the European elections.

Gordon Brown's government has lost its way, say local campaigners. Many voters are angry at the expenses scandal, the Government's treatment of Gurkha war heroes and the continuing effects of Labour's recession.

Keith Hill, the local Labour MP, voted in line with the Government on Gurkhas and voted to stop Freedom of Information laws applying to MPs.

"In the wake of the exposure of freeloading MPs, and the fact that Labour are failing to tackle unemployment and local business closures, this Thursday represents voters' opportunity to tell Gordon Brown that we've had enough", commented Chris.

"It's time for a change from Labour's record of failure. We need strong Euro MPs like Sarah Ludford."

Sarah Ludford MEP is backing action to fight climate change and help local families hit hard by the recession. She has also campaigned alongside Chris Nicholson on police stations and against the third runway at Heathrow.
